Amazing with a melted pison you still did a respectable speed.
But the 13.9 suggests it is a dodgy reading, 1000' ET is good enough for a low 13 at that speed.

still have two spare pistons. So this mill will run soon again.

As it was one of the very first runs of Ali Afshar the setup was not nearly ready.
Although the track was in perfect contition; where FWD hondas were runnin´
1.40 60´ times and also Top Fuel cars were running, U can roughly estimate the powerrange
when it comes up to boost an loosin´ traktion.
Remember on 4!!! 10,5/28-15 M/T s on glued track.

The front and the rear tires seem to be the same size, so it might be an AWD.
This is as far as I can go with my wide dragracing experiences.  

Indeed it doesn't look like a Subaru, but still, the engine is a Subaru flat 4.
It might even be an AWD, although I'm not so sure about that.

Water to air coolers are often inside the cockpit. This looks like an example. 

It doesn't looks like SUBARU...

calipers are from Honda CB 1000 XX or Suzuki GSXR 1100
Rotors are BMW 1200 and Aprillia Mille

Sound promising. Your race weight were in the 900kg range till now, right? 580 kg is killer... My truck will be slightly heavier this year, but hopefully a bit more powerful as well...    

Mexx, you are more a German than Austrian!        (Typically Germans are soo afraid from the GB parts. )

Sounds nice, but I would never use parts wich are made to Great British standard   .
I prefer wilwood btw my long time friend and hardcore racer Harry, who´s a real addicted
to British parts has swichted to wilwood   . But as weight is my worst enemy I used Tokico
this time were the 4 pot callipers weight 792g and the 276mm rotor 752g.
My target weight with driver and fuel is 1300 lb (4U) or 580 kg !!!!

Don't know what brake you wish to use, but a verry cheap, good and light solution is the HiSpec brake from GB. Check it out on www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk
Congratulations in fwd. for the big project! Hope it performs well! What is the estimated weight for the whole car? You going on a totally new way, or projects like this exist in the world now?

Before I forget: you mention something about used ali trolley jack's (also der Alu Wagenheber ). Have you the contact for that, or you ordering these sometimes?
