Everything is wrong in this run, yet the numbers are still impressive. The winter tires found so much grip on Tokol Airfield's concrete surface that the car bogged down quite badly, revs dropped back to 2500. And of course the big turbo doesn't work so low down on this 2 liter 4pot. Second gear is alright, it's over in just 1.5 seconds, but third gear is terrible. Not only there's a huge 1.5 second turbo lag, but the power drops heavily after 150 km/h (93mph). In fact it looses more than 100 WHP! At this point it's unknown why, perhaps it's just an bad Motec map, or a mistimed cam. Anyhow, it's very spectacular than in fourth gear it pulls harder than just before the gearshift. If they manage to fix the problems, it's a promising project, I'm sure it will improve a lot next year. We also made an incar video of this run, which is quite spectacular despite the problems.
