Comments: They just about finished preparing the car for the race at Tokol Airport. Well, they didn't finish it really, just stopped. :) There's a lot to improve, but the initial signs are promising.
First, there is the launch. Beside the Chevy Nova and the Jeep this package is the best launching front engine, rear wheel drive combo that I have logged so far. Everything is perfect until 70 km/h. Then comes the first gearshift, which takes around a whole second. The old gearbox doesn't do its job very well.
In 2nd it takes another second to build real boost. Peak power is nice, but it available in a very small rev range, as the engine cannot be revved beyond 7000 yet. The real power comes on in 3rd gear, which is just about long enough to cross the finish line.
This was his best run of the day at 11.948 @ 201 km/h. In the finals he broke the diff. I'm sure it well get much better next time. photo 1 _2_
