| The result of a long awaited logging session. A star of the Hungarian drag racing scene, but until now, its stardom was more or less based on crap timing systems at various events. The first run, -what you can see here- was done with 1.5 bar boost. It was a ''warm up' run before the second attempt, which was with the same boost with a good 100bhp nitrous shot extra. Unfortunately a sensor or something gave in, and the run was aborted. Too bad. :( But let's talk abou this run. Unlike most AWD cars, this Delta launches with a slipping clutch. Mosty to save the transmission. As it has a very long first gear, it makes sense. There is a bit of a turbo lag after the gearchanges, but it's not that bad. We will try to log the car again soon. | A modern TFSI engined Skoda Octavia seems a little more powerful than it should be according to the factory. Either that, or its weight is less, than the owner thinks. The start is very soft, still it broke traction too easily. From the first gearchange on there's nothing special to talk about. It goes as it can. :) |
