1/8 MILE RUNS
In Hungary dragracing is mostly over 1/8 mile, mostly because of the lack of suitable tracks.
Racing is more open this way, distance lost during a bad launch are harder to recover.

Click on the small chart to see them in bigger, with options to change rollout, tune it virtually, etc...

Rábaring, 2005.09.25.

Champion of the 'sub 2000 ccm AWD' category of the Rabaring 2005 championship.
The car is very light and also quite powerful. The weak point is the gearbox. The small lift off at around the 1 second point is helping prolong the gearbox's life. (Don't know how) It could have been a sub 8 second 1/8 mile. (with 0 rollout)

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII (Mesti)

It's a tuned Evo8 with launch control. The car has only an opened sport exhaust, and modded stock computer with higher turbo boost. This is that results and power, what the car can with low material cost. It has cca. 280 wheel horse power, what is not bad, because the stock performance is same, but on flywheel only. Not bad... :-) Unfortunately the launch control was not too good, because the tyres are not spinning after 1 sec. If it has a bit higher bost, or rpm in the launch control, i think it can better results.

A tuned 5.7 liter V8, naturally aspirated, riding on M/T ET street radials. It's funny, that out of the three attempts he made, this was the best. Ok, looking at the chart it might be hard to see why. Check out the video. Big torque always help. :)
The shift from second to third gear was slower than normal, a bit of a time was lost there as well.

Another RS2, named KopoRSo which mean coffin in Hungarian. Check the photo to see why. :)
It's got a tuned engine as well. But it's got a nice flat torque curve, power climbs together with the revs. Pretty nice. It hit the limiter in third a bit, but it's OK.
The weakest point is the launch, we got used to better launches from Audis. Maybe it's the cold... :)

Fiat Coupe 2.0 16v turbo (Kaméleon)

Kiskunlacháza, 2009.03.21.

2.0 6v turbo engine with DTA engine management. This run is his personal best, officially timed
12.31 @ 195, which is matched quite closely by this log if rollout is set to 12". As the driver has lifted before the finish line, the trap speed figure is lower than the offical figure. (We quote exact finish line speeds, while the official figure is the last 20 meters' average)
The tires didn't found much grip. Too bad, as with proper traction it could have been an 11 easily.
Upshifts are very fast. There was a slight drop in power in 4th gear, but don't know what that was.

It's pretty much stock, apart from the DTA ECU and the slightly increased boost. Launch program was not set, but ALS was operational, no wonder there's no sign of lag. In 2nd and even more in 3rd gear a slight power fade is noticable near the rev limit, but it's not a major issue.

Porsche 911 turbo (Gáspár Laci)

Tököl, 2008.10.26.

Stock 996 Tiptronic turbo. It was certainly not as good as it could have been, but it was very cold, and the tires were worn out quite badly.
Officially the run was timed at 12.63 @ 182 km/h.
The Carfolio datasheet's performance figures are matched quite closely. 0-100 km/h is exactly the same, 0-100mph is also very close (10.45 in this log)

The car will receive a proper tuning package soon.
