Tököl, 2005.08.06.

The lightweight Elise lost a little weight, gained some power and now it's a lot faster... Absolutely amazing launch on pure concrete and on standard road tires. I've never seen such high g forces on 2WD cars, except for the purpose built cars on drag slicks.

2008.08.16.

On its drift-pec rock hard suspension, and with its GT28 turbo it's not built for drag racing. Still, it does a decent quarter.
The 235mm wide rear tires didn't find too much grip, but that's hardly surprising given the drift setup.
The upshifts are quite fast, and power drops a little near the limiter, possibly that's the limit of the turbo.

2005.01.05.

Another Audi S2, this one is a real headturner! (see photos) Clutch is giving in a bit, the "attack" of the g force chart is less steep as ideal. But it's not a bad launch, and with the raised boost and chipped engine management it goes quite fast as well.

Tököl, 2009.09.12.

The little orange Swift is a regular racer at Tököl.
This run was logged during the final of the latest race. Officially it was timed 13.217 @ 170 km/h, which was more than enough to win the category.
The M&H tires found plenty of grip, altough we have seen better at Tököl too. (There's no track-prep there)
However, it certainly has plenty of grunt for such a small, naturally aspirated engine.

2005.10.31.

Custom K04 turbo conversion, and a matching chip powering this run. It's a longitudinal engined proper Quattro, but a bit weak for a proper tire shredding launch. Also the clutch was starting to give up after the 6th attempt.

Tököl, 2008.05.31.

A Lada 2107 with an Opel MV6 engine shoehorned in. It's chipped with an open exhaust and also spraying a bit of nitrous oxide. Not in this round, though, there were some issues with it, so it was all motor. Official timing was 13.36 @ 168.
The start is good for a light reared car on BFG drag radials. The power curve is very nice flat, goes very well. I hope we can log it again with nitrous too.

Kunmadaras, 2005.06.18.

An interesting BMW E30, it has an Alpina B7 3.5 liter turbocharged engine. It's quite a potent ride, but during the run we logged, the traction was quite poor, despite the slicks. After the first two seconds it pulled very well as the tires' slip reduced. The car did better times later on the day, but we didn't log those
