1/8 MILE RUNS

In Hungary dragracing is mostly over 1/8 mile, mostly because of the lack of suitable tracks.
Racing is more open this way, distance lost during a bad launch are harder to recover.

	In September the Viper already run 10.3 according to the official timeslip from the racetrack, but we only logged a 10.6 run. This time we missed his PB run of 10.18 and logged this 10.31 @ 219 km/h run. There's nothing wrong in this run. Compared on the 1000 hp Y scales the engine gained around 30 WHP, most likely thanks to the uprated exhaust system. The nitrous still doesn't deliver the full 300HP shot, so there's still a lot of room for improvement.

	Last year's stuck-open BOV was still in the car, but caused less problem. It was stuck open in 4th gear, but after a fast liftoff and reapply of the throttle the BOV closed. The same thing happened in 5th gear too, but as it was very close to the Q/M finish line, you can't see much of it. This run was without launch control and ALS. Still, the launch is amazing, the Toyo R888 tires bite hard. The engine's characteristics changed since last year too, as power now drops continously after each gear change. But it is dropping from quite high. :)

	It's a bone stock R1. Stock tires, stock exhaust, everything. The biker had problems getting a good launch, which is hardy surprising given the long gearing. (First gear held until 150 km/h)

	It was having problems when we logged the car, the half track trap speed was about 10 kph lower than a week earlier at Rabaring. I heard it might be up to the same level again as they found the cause of the power loss. Unfortunately the logging stopped shortly after half track. Most likely the power supply disconnected due to excessive shaking of the chassis.

	The winner of the King of Europe FWD class this year too. This log was taken during the semi finals. Officially it was timed an 10.78 @ 210 km/h. This is the fastest run of this car on street legal tires, even though it is now much less powerful than it was last year. Traction was good, thanks to the prepped surface. It was no Santa Pod, but it certainly helped. There is a little hesitation after the start, we are unsure about its cause. The smooth fall of the g curve sign that there is a bit of clutch slip in 2nd gear.
