1/8 MILE RUNS

In Hungary dragracing is mostly over 1/8 mile, mostly because of the lack of suitable tracks.
Racing is more open this way, distance lost during a bad launch are harder to recover.

	Chipped ECU and lots of bolt on tuning gear on this Punto GT. The low profile tires found surprising grip, usually styling works against performance. Not this time. With good gearchanges and nice flat power curve it managed a 9 over the 1/8, which is quite a good result an daily driven car.

	We have already logged the owner's other car, but this one is a solid improvement. It's very light and quite powerful. This was his best run during the day's racing at the Rabaring. Considering this it's quite surprising to see such a bad launch. For a rear engine rear wheel drive car we expect much better. It needs proper sized tires, possibly slicks and it should be much faster over the quarter.

	The car has a MTM chip, but it can show only the stock power. The start was good thanks to the haldex quattro,but we was better start from a haldex before. You can see a better haldex start here. The shifts are fast, but it need a little time for the full power, but this is not so big turbo lagg.

	This is a full stock car with 4 pistons and turbocharger. This is not a new car, but it got more power, than the stock. The power graph is healthy too, because it has same power on the high rpm too, and the start was very good too. If the weather is warmer, it can run easilly under 7 sec the 0-100 km/h result.
