1/8 MILE RUNS

In Hungary dragracing is mostly over 1/8 mile, mostly because of the lack of suitable tracks.
Racing is more open this way, distance lost during a bad launch are harder to recover.

	Since the last log quite a lot of the lost horses found their way back. This together with a better start resulted in more than a second improvement over the 1/4 mile.

	The car has a complete Supersprint exhaust system, and it runs a modified engine management program. (It's chipped) It was strugling for grip in all of the three attempts, all runs were very close to each other. A few days after our logging session the car was put on a rolling road dyno, and it produced 96 HP at the wheels. (127 HP at the flywheel) The chart from the dyno is attached as picture #3.

	1.9 8v GTI. The start is very soft, probably slipping the clutch deliberately for a short time before flooring it. Apart from that, it's a nice run, although the WHP figures are some way off the expected level.

	The launch was crap, an average FWD car do better than this RWD Capri. Don't know what was the problem, I didn't see the run. The engine was rebuilt a few months ago, but it lacks the grunt which the 2.8 liter V6 lump did put out in factory form. But the power chart is a very nice curve. :)

	It's a full stock 2003' Audi A4 1.8T FWD. It can the stock power, but the power was not too good, because the weather was cooly, and it had summer tyres on the wheels. The run was pretty good, considering that he never practiced the dragrace. Maybe the shifts can be a little faster. Wiht better tyres, and in warmer weather, it can run much better results.
