1/8 MILE RUNS

In Hungary dragracing is mostly over 1/8 mile, mostly because of the lack of suitable tracks.
Racing is more open this way, distance lost during a bad launch are harder to recover.

	It's a full stock Alfa 33 with boxer engine. The start was not good, because it has worn tyres, and the weather was cool, but the shifts was good. It has got cca. the stock power.

	A typical Honda launch. I mean mostly Hondas create the g forces envelope like this. Altough tires were squeeling only just, it's far from a perfect launch. But hey, the cold weather was far from ideal as well. Second gears tops out at 100.5 km/h, so an ideal gearing for 0-100 km/h sprint. :) Of course the 0-100 figure is affected by the bad launch.

	Although it's a heavy car and the auto box doesn't help, I expected more from a 3 liter engine. After the initial spike the acceleration is quite soft. But at least the acceleration is quite stable in any given gear. Unfortunately the 1/4 mile wasn't completed, it's about 35 meters short.
