Ford Fiesta 2.0 16v Zetec turbo (Szabyk) Kiskunlacháza, 2008. June 14.

After a number of unsuccesful attempts we could log a very good run of Szabyk's Fiesta. It was his only run in the final of the Hungarian Champion round, as there were only two cars qualified in the class. He lost against the much more powerful Civic of Sandor Vogelsinger's, but it was a quite close run. The Fiesta run officialy clocked 10.93 @ 226. In fact this trap speed is his personal best so far. A few facts about the car: 2liters, forged internals, Piper cams, Garrett GT35R turbo, stock tranny. Thanks to the almost slipping clutch the launch is a bit soft, but pulls very high g's in 1st and 2nd gear. There's huge lag in 3rd, there's at least a tenth lost because of it. But when the big turbo is on boost, power delivery is very nice. Just a few days before the King of Europe, this was very promising. He came 3rd in Belgium, lost his semi with a red light. Too bad... he had every chance to win... Next time! :)
