It's got a tuned 20V turbo engine from an S2, gearbox from a V8, custom driveshafts, etc. all packed into a lightweight chassis. We logged the car previously too. (to see, select the other entry on the selector just above the chart) It already had a similar engine, but this one is much more powerful. In fact it proved too be too powerful for one of the custom driveshafts, and it broke on the next launch attempt after this which you can see here. This attempt was made into a quite strong headwind, this probably cost a few km/h at the top end. To see the virtual race between the two cars with the new and the previous engine, click here. |
