After a year's absence from the scene, Hungary's fastest and loudest all motor Civic returns! Now it sports some very serious stuff, Endyn high-comp pistons, IB rods, Skunk stage3 cams, Hondadata ECU, among others. This run was officially timed at 12.66 @ 181 km/h. The best of the day was around 2 tenths faster, but because of gear syncro issues he shifted a bit too early in this run. In fact, it's quite easy to see where he lost that time. In this 12.66 run there is no wheel slip in 2nd gear, and thus acceleration is much lower than last year. In his 12.4 run, I'm sure he revved it further in 1st thus getting some wheel slip in 2nd. When you compare the power curves you can see that while peak power increased as well, the real gain is in lower revs.
