The Syclone now on special fuel, with a bit less conservative program. Higher boost, bigger advance. Falco was fighting for a 10 second 1/4 mile for quite some time, now in this run he managed to do so if only virtually. (Later, on 9th June he finally managed to run a 10.92.) Despite the nice numbers this run is not perfect by any means. The launch is very soft, the first half a second is wasted. Considering the slick tires, peak acceleration is low too. Still it goes very well till 140 km/h where it shifts to 3rd, which he holds into the finish. Looking on the power chart there's a huge fall near the end. Over 100 horses went asleep! And even in 2nd gear, you can notice this, power falls before the upshift, perhaps that's why this 2->3 shift is so prominent on the chart. (1->2 is barely noticable at around 55-60 km/h) Perhaps the engine is revved beyond its power range?
