They have slightly different rules, but both based on displacement and how is the car putting the punch to the pavement (RWD/FWD/AWD). AFAIK, none of these rules are available in English, though. If you give me the displacement of your engine I can tell you who will you roll against...

Regarding the question driving the car in Hungary, I'm not sure what do you mean. If you have a proper license on the car, I guess yes, but I'm pretty sure you couldn't get a valid license for this car here...

There are major changes coming in 2008.  There're two racing series competing, as of today there are some legal issues.   We'll see in time.

As there're new regulations coming for 2008 they're not available in English as far as I know.

But generally speaking, yes you can race your car in Hungary.     You need to have license, though, which will cost around 60-100 Euro.

Big engined turbo RWD cars were a bit rare this year, but I guess there'll be more and more.

In the Dragracing.hu series your car would race against anything which is 2.1 liter or more, RWD or AWD.   Fastest Hungarian time in this category would be a 9.8 for an AWD Audi.
In the other series, futam.hu your car would race against RWD cars only, with any forced induction car engine above 1550 ccm.     Fastest would be a Fiat X 1/9 with a 10.89.


Your car seems very unique, can we find more information about it (and pictures) somewhere on the web?    btw. Where are you from?
 

hi people... I'm new here so I have few questions... can anybody tell me where can I find more info about hungarian drag racing? about the rules... can I drive with my car in Hungary? I have Citroen 2CV6 with 6 cilinder BMW turbo engine...it's RWD... thanks...
