I´m very bussy with my new plan of building a tube chassis Ghia;
This time it´s a coupe and I have already chopped the roof and now I´m
already in building the rear quater panels out of carbon, and designing
the suspension and the rear axel will be ordered next week( it´ll be a Porsche
gearbox with a Ford 9" aluminum spool with 35 spline and aluminum yokes from Moser).
The design 4 the tube chassis is ready and the tubing and the flip front is on its way from
the USA, so are the custom made wheels and tires from M/T and some other parts
Today will try make a step forward with the brake system I´m building right now.
I love the flying tire at 3:10, it was probably rotating at 500+ km/h when it took off. Still, it's amazing how high and far it did fly... I wonder what damage had it done in the car park.
I use the Toyo T1R-s on the rears (where I need the traction), I'm werry happy with them!
My car was about 170Nm and 170HP. But the car is werry light and RWD, that helps me a lot against the FI engined cars!
Ps.: german language will be easier for me, but the official Timesip foreign language should be the english, I think.
@ave
I know it´s a bad time, but I think it´s because the crip from the track was terrible. My acceleration test 0-160km/h with 14.2sec, I´ve made this result not at the racetrack, I´ve made it on a street near my town. The time from the quartermile was with streetlegal Yokohama Advan SemiSlicks. At an other track I go the 1/8Mile in 8.8 with Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres. So I think it was the track for the bad result and the torque in my car is 150Nm @ 1500 rpm (It goes up to 205Nm @ 600 rpm. Now I have a mechanic traction control "Quaife" and the gears are very short (Vmax about 200km/h with the old real 235kmh)
@ szabyk RST
nice too !! You are really fast for a MK3! How much hp or torque you have? You have a transmission control? Which tyres?
@ all
All the cars in this videos are really fast: the most around 12 to 13.5sec - and the cars are all "unpretending". Some cars are faster (for example: Suzuki Swift "Attila" , they can kill a Ferrari or a Porsche!
As for captioning of horsepower, it would be just a guesswork. Although I logged quite a few cars they do change constantly, so even the a 1-2 months old HP figure could be false. And there is a number of cars I'm yet to measure.
Those captioned time and speed figures are the actual official timing results from their timeslips.
As for your results - with good tires a high 13 is quite possible, but a low 14 sec is definetely there for grasp.
Hello from Germany again. At the first time, I´ve wrote in your guestbook.(Where is it?) I think, I have a good idea to to make your videos more better then they are (at time your videos are amazing and very good). My absolutly favorites are the great videos from "Tököl" and "Rabaring" and "Kiskunlachaza". At the end of the race, you blend the times and the speed from cars in the corner. Can you blending, in your newest videos, how much horsepower the cars have? And was the car driven with Nitro? Then the people can better analysing the race and the cars. For example: There are some cars driven a 13.xx @ 155-165km/h, I don´t now how they do it. (Last year I,ve drived a 14.8 at 156km/h - I think I have a bad traction, because the run from 0-160km/h I drive 14.2sec. Now I´m faster with a new gearbox [short for acceleration] and a "Quaife" .
It´s just an idea, but I hope you can make it.
