Wow, I wish I won the Croatian Championship instead of the Hungarian. 8000 Euro ain't bad!

As for the race 500 Euro is also very nice, the most we could race for 200 Euro for each category winner, but usually it was around 120 Euros for the winners 80 for runner up, 40 € for the 3rd places.


Your money prizes are very compelling to say the least, I guess you might see a number of Hungarian cars going there.


As for our tracks, check out some of my videos.
The two main tracks are Tokol and Kiskunlachaza.   There're a few other places as well, either similar to the main tracks or a little worse.   Basically old Russian military airfields, very wide conrete blocks, very good quality.

In Croatia we have 7 categories which are devided by the time which you achieve during the 1st free run. So if I have 15.5 time on this first training than I will be in the 15 sec category and my first race would be against somebody which has time 15.9. In each category you have the same points. The winning is 15 pts, 2nd place is 12 pts, 3rd place is 10, 4th place is 8 and than 6,5 4,3,2,1... so the overall winner of championship can be somebody which is driving in 15 sec catogory. Of course, the best chance have cars in very fast categories but it can happen that somebody else take the championship. We had 160 competitors during the season and was 6th with my "duck" but I have 2 more cars. One is Golf II with twin VR6 engines with nitro. So each engine has 350 hp which means that both of them have 700 hp... That car finished 2nd in the championship. The driver of that car was one of my employes. The third car which I owe is BMW 745i from 1977. Actually the engine is from 1984. All three cars are very fast and very popular in Croatia. The BMW's best time is 12.7, the Golf best time was 11.1, the best time of Citroen 2CV6 which I sdrive was 12.4. The problem in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Slovenia, where we drive is that we dont have good tracks so If you have very strong rear wheel drive you need to have perfect suspension and veeeery wide tires or you will lose at least a second or maybe more. How are the tracks in Hungary? Do you use VHT or not? What are the prices? In Croatia is like this: if you win at the race you will get cca 500-800 euro... it depends on how much drivers you have on the race... for the overall champion at the end of the season you will get 8.000 euro but half of the price will be in items (tires, gadgets, struts, etc...) ... the second place you will get 4.000 euro, half of that will be in items... third place is 2.000... but we also have a team chanpionship... in each team there are three cars and we took 1st place this year among 25 teams... the price for the 1st place team is 2.000 euro... so this year I won 6.000 euro at the end and 2.500 euro for the winings which as not so bad compering to the other automotor sports in Croatia... I have found a lot of hungarian sites of drag racing but all of them are on Hungarian... So here is the only forum where I can find some more info... for the next year we are preparing some more cars... maybe we will get more money from our sponsors and maybe we will go to Hungary on some races, King of Europe or somewhere else... that is why I have so many questions... or maybe I will see some of you in Croatia... that would be very nice....
